From prompts to boards.
Add the connector once.

disco has a connector for Claude. Add it once, nothing to install, and from then on you just ask: a flow chart, a retro, a journey map, a brainstorm, or the next level of your tree. disco lays it out, and everyone on the board sees it appear under your name.

  1. Add the connectorIn Claude's settings, or one command in Claude Code.
  2. Allow itSign in with Microsoft and press Allow.
  3. Prompt a boardChanges appear live on the board.

Before you start

You need Claude (the desktop app, claude.ai or Claude Code) and your Rabot Energy Microsoft account. Nothing else.

The connector's address is https://raboard.bluedune-9857e83b.germanywestcentral.azurecontainerapps.io/mcp. You also find it in disco: click your avatar, Settings, Use disco from Claude, with a Copy button.

Connector or MCP? The same thing seen from two sides. disco runs an MCP server; Claude's apps call it a connector, Claude Code calls it an MCP server. Either way you add it once and everything below works the same.

Add the connector

In the Claude desktop app or on claude.ai.

If disco is already in your workspace

  1. Open Claude's Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Find disco and press Connect.
  3. In a chat, press +, open Connectors and switch disco on.

If it is not there yet

Open Claude's connectors
  1. Choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it disco and paste the address: https://raboard.bluedune-9857e83b.germanywestcentral.azurecontainerapps.io/mcp
  3. Press Add, then Connect.

The button opens Claude on the web. Connectors you add there show up in the desktop app too.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner can add disco once for everyone. See Company wide.

Or in Claude Code

One click opens Claude Code with the request already typed in. Press Enter, allow the command, and the connector is added for every project.

The links work once you have used Claude Code on this computer. If nothing opens, run the command yourself, from any folder. --scope user makes disco available in every project.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http disco --scope user https://raboard.bluedune-9857e83b.germanywestcentral.azurecontainerapps.io/mcp

Then start claude, type /mcp, pick disco and follow the steps in your browser. The same command works on macOS and Windows.

Claude Code
/mcp

Sign in and allow

The first time, Claude opens disco in your browser. Sign in with Microsoft if you are not already, and disco shows what Claude will be allowed to do and as whom. Press Allow.

  • Claude acts as you. Every change carries your name in the changelog and on the Confluence page.
  • The permission lasts 30 days, then Claude asks again.
  • In disco's Settings, Connected apps lists every Claude you allowed. Disconnect ends access at once.

From prompts to boards

Once the connector is added, ask in plain words. Claude decides what belongs on the board, and disco lays it out, sizes every box and connects them, on a new board, a new page, or free space next to what is already there. Both recordings are real: disco's own tools, drawing live.

"Create a flow chart of how ducks travel"

Colours work in plain words too: blue is a sticky tone, light blue fits frames and columns, strong blue stands out. Boards Claude creates are private to you until you share them.

Company wide

For whoever administers Claude at Rabot Energy. Add the connector once for the whole company, and colleagues only press Connect and Allow.

Claude app: one connector for everyone

  1. As an Owner, open Organization settings, then Connectors.
  2. Press Add, hover Custom and choose Web.
  3. Name disco, URL https://raboard.bluedune-9857e83b.germanywestcentral.azurecontainerapps.io/mcp, then Continue.
  4. Under Authentication, pick an option where every member signs in themselves, not No sign in, so each change carries the name of the person who asked. Press Add.

The Claude app connects from Anthropic's cloud, not from the laptop. disco's /mcp address must be reachable from the internet, or allow Anthropic's IP ranges through the firewall. A server only reachable over VPN will not connect. Claude Code connects from the laptop, so VPN is fine there.

Claude Code: pushed to every laptop

IT can add disco to Claude Code on every machine through managed settings, deployed with Jamf, Intune or Group Policy. Colleagues keep their own MCP servers, and each person allows disco once with /mcp. Needs Claude Code 2.1.259 or newer.

managed settings
{
  "managedMcpServers": {
    "disco": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://raboard.bluedune-9857e83b.germanywestcentral.azurecontainerapps.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

A stricter option is a managed-mcp.json file, which replaces everyone's MCP servers with only the ones listed. Details in the managed MCP docs.

What the connector can do

17 tools, which Claude picks for you. Boards can be named by id, name or link. Tree items by their key, like OPP-3.

ToolWhat it does
list_boardsLists the boards you may open, with links, and whether each is yours, shared with you or global.
create_boardCreates a private board, blank or from the opportunity solution tree starter.
add_pageAdds a page to a board.
describe_boardReads a page as text: frames, items, connectors and where free space starts.
create_diagramDraws a whole diagram from nodes, edges and groups. disco does the layout.
add_itemsAdds stickies, shapes, text, frames and connectors at given places.
update_itemsChanges text, colour, shape, position and size, and connector labels and arrows.
delete_itemsDeletes items and their connectors. Board history can bring them back.
get_treeThe tree as a table, with labels, Jira, pages, metrics, delivery and scores.
add_tree_itemAdds a tree item under its parent.
update_tree_itemChanges title, label, parent, status, owner, evidence, notes and R I C scores.
remove_tree_itemTakes an item out of the tree, or off the board.
review_treeThe structural checks from the Claude panel: loose ends, empty levels, stuck items.
add_stickiesDrops a grid of stickies next to what is on a page.
link_jira_issueLinks, creates or unlinks a Jira issue.
sync_confluenceWrites the tree to the linked Confluence page now.
set_confluence_pageLinks a board to a Confluence page.

The tools follow the same rules as the board. If Claude asks for something that does not fit, the tool says why, and nothing is drawn halfway.
